Taipei Telecom 2000:

spearheads broadband services with IDD prefix 007
At the 4-day Taipei Telecom 2000 Aug. 31 through Sept 03,
New Century InfoComm Tech Co., Ltd. ( NCIC ) has high hopes
that its ' 007 for IDD prefix " will draw crowds of trade
show visitors to partake in NCIC's presentations on broadband
and future services. Kuo Ming-chi, Regulatory & PR Director
of NCIC points out that the company's multimedia presentations,
dubbed 'The broadband Tunnel ', aim at promoting better understanding
of our future services, and that by way of illuminating visuals
instead of words and texts to do the job better, so that people
will have a glimpse into the broadband future and our service
features that come along with it."
In order that better understanding of broadband services can
be communicated to trade show visitors, NCIC has created a
" broadband tunnel " for a multi-media presentation that addresses
topics such as " broadband ", " fibre optics ", and " 007
re-defined". 007 for IDD prefix is primarily used to attract
general attentions at a rowdy and crowded trade show, so that
" crowds will come visit our booths that present NCIC's future
services on broadband as an entirity , and as a breakaway
from what people think about telecom services until now. For
the longest time since day one, and for an infinite future,
NCIC emphasizes the trinity ' Innovation / Technologies /
Services ' as its core values. The trade show is a platform
for NCIC to illustrate that value set via multimedia presentation
and interactive floor activities with show visitors."
As far as broadband goes, key to NCIC's infrastructure offering
lies in the " fibre-to door" claim and the multitude of value-added
services-including flexible bandwidths to suit actual need
by prior arrangement-to collectively keep up the promised
speed and quality of transmissions.
