sparq Granted with a Fixed Network Businesses Concession License
Today, All Services Soon to Roll Out
sparq (New Century InfoComm Tech. Co., Ltd., NCIC) announced
that it has qualified and was granted with a Concession License
of fixed network business by the Directorate General of Telecommunications
of the MOTC today. The official launch of sparq is scheduled
for the early March, with the first wave of products being
brought into service upon the successful completion of final
tests. Meantime, the pre-sale is being launched for customers'
feedback. Coverage areas will initially include Taipei City
and County, Tao-yuan, Hsin-chu, Kao-hsiung, Tai-nan, and Tai-chung
and at a later through out the island.

Concerning the date of the official launch, sparq Chief Operation
Officer, Seng Sum Ng, said, "Currently testing of the products
and services are up to the countdown stage. The official launch
of sparq will be in the early March. At that time, customers
will experience our new type of fixed-line communication service."
Terabit-capable 96-core fibre-optic cable provides the backbone
for sparq's islandwide high-speed transmission network. sparq's
bandwidth provides massive transmissions capability for voice,
data, and images as required by enterprises, which is Sparq's
target market initially.
sparq's service areas include the Greater Taipei area, Tao-yuan,
Hsin-chu, Tai-nan, Tai-chung and Kao-hsiung at the time of
the official launch.
